In the second set of experiments, specimens were subjected to an initial axial displacement in the elastic range followed by torsion load, maintaining initial axial displacement.

To further confirm the effect of ΔT on CNT growth, this study performed two experiments (Specimens A3-20 and A4-20 in Table 1) with the same growth condition of ΔT > 0, designed to deposit CNTs by thermal CVD on the mesoporous SBA-15 and Si wafer substrates, respectively.
