Before we get into my fifth annual piece on customer experience predictions, let me introduce myself to new readers.

If you had randomly selected 100 economists in 2005 and told them that in the fall of 2008 real interest rates would spike, that they'd then fall only to rise again in 2010, those economists would have predicted an employment path remarkably similar to what America has actually experienced, and the prediction would be fairly uncontroversial.

More importantly, of the 19 patients with a >3-fold increase in PHA-induced IL2 at Day 0, 14 did not suffer from BiPN (73.7% prediction for non-BiPN patients); in contrast, of the 34 patients with a <3-fold increase in PHA-induced IL2 at Day 0, 23 experienced BiPN (67.6% prediction for BiPN patients) with the sensitivity (56%) and the specificity (82%), respectively (Table 3).
