The two teams have experienced reversals of fortune in the round robins, Oracle from bad to good, OneWorld from superb to mediocre, and have split their two races.

If some but not all states are homologous, the simplest explanation is either that the character experienced reversal(s) (e.g. globular promontorium on parsimony trees) or, more commonly, convergent evolution to similar character states in two or three separate lineages.
