The son of a framework knitter, he was baptised in Nottingham in 1731; and this exhibition is very much a Nottingham achievement, where it was first displayed.
The whole structure of the exhibition is very much based on Internet structures.
"So, there are a lot of objects in the exhibition that very much relate to his life.
"A wave of recent exhibitions has very much brought sound art to the attention of the wider public".
"I find when I go to international exhibitions, they come very much with an open mind.
Collaborative though it is, the cavalcade of world cultures that rolls through the museum's second-floor special-exhibition galleries is very much Mr. de Montebello's creation.
"I think both of us come from a school of exhibition-making that very much privileges the art object," said the Costa Rica-born Mr. Hoffmann, "and the way we place works, install works, we try to make dialogues between the pieces, between different artists, trying to make connections and references.
The current exhibition "Canada Darling" is very much in the classic alternative space mode.
Richard Kendall, curator-at-large at the Clark Institute in Massachusetts and an expert on Degas, said in a phone conversation that it was important still to consider the artist as part of the Impressionist movement, "Degas was an Impressionist, he was one of the most faithful and loyal exhibitors in the Impressionist exhibitions, but he was very much his own man".
"The focus will be, as Mrs Thatcher would have wanted, on a living centre that concentrates on training and debate and exchange programmes, while the exhibition side will be really very much secondary," says Burns, who became a friend of Thatcher later in her life.
