[C7.] 2 Found Liable in Fraud Case A federal judge has found Kenneth Winger, the former chief executive of Safety-Kleen, and Paul Humphreys, the former chief financial officer, liable for $200 million for their role in an accounting fraud at the company.
Ted Slafsky, the executive director of Safety Net Hospitals for Pharmaceutical Access, a nonprofit group, welcomed the action by Congress.
"Your message can't be, 'Hey guys, go get the fort back,' " said Gregory Thomas, a former executive director of safety for the school system.
"Because of the potential for a false-latch condition, we want customers to return their vehicles to have the recall repair performed as soon as possible," Jeff Boyer, G.M.'s executive director of safety, said.
