Hincks recalls the description, by one senior TV executive, of working life at Endemol as "utter anarchy".
"It's going to take a generation of accounting and auditing and legal specialists to create the transparency [in the Chinese bond market] that we need," says Gary Benanav, chief executive of New York Life, an insurance company.
"We think the price is too low," said Amund Lunde, the chief executive of the life insurance group Oslo Pensjonsforsikring, a shareholder with 1percentt of Tandberg's stock who is among the group of shareholders.
Mr. Marchionne, who was chief executive of a life sciences concern, the Lonza Group, a spinoff of the Alusuisse Lonza Group, will succeed Antony Czura, who led the company during recent turmoil between the founding family and new officials.
Mr. D'Alessandro's pay was by far the highest of any chief executive of a life insurance company last year, more than two and a half times that of the chief executives of MetLife and Prudential Financial, each with twice the stock market value of John Hancock.
"The experience studies were just not long enough and fulsome enough for us to have credible pricing," said Brian Murphy, executive vice president of life insurance at Hartford.
