We have developed the GLIF3 Guideline Execution Engine (GLEE) as a tool for executing guidelines encoded in the GLIF3 format.
The main approach to achieving computerised execution of guidelines in medical informatics research has been the use of languages that can create computer-interpretable guidelines, i.e. guidelines that a computer can run automatically.
