Mr. Harris, a frequent awards-show host, was mocked in a fake ad in which his "How I Met Your Mother" co-stars warned about the risks of Excessive Hosting Disorder.
The latter-day king of awards-show hosts — remember his tour-de-force Tony opener in June? — was somehow reduced to eating his own tail, appearing in a lame sketch about Excessive Hosting Disorder and performing a mindless halftime song-and-dance number called "The Number in the Middle of the Show".
Between a sketch chronicling his struggles with "Excessive Hosting Disorder" and a self-acknowledged random "Dance Number in the Middle of the Show," Harris seemed to be suggesting that he's done as much as he can do with this gig.
