Re-reading some of my chats from over the years – which Gmail helpfully/cruelly stores like subreddits – I can see many examples of emotions running high.
Anger and elation are examples of emotions that have different valences but similar energy; humans use context, as well as facial and vocal cues, to distinguish them.
