This allows studies from multiple groups to be easily collated for example for meta-analysis.
As a (less perfect) example for meta-analysis of RCTs, we use a recent systematic review of the effect of rosiglitazone on the risk of myocardial infarction and death from cardiovascular diseases [ 16].
This is evidenced by the numerous methodologies now available to incorporate and synthesise findings from qualitative research, [ 10] including for example meta-aggregation, meta-ethnography, realist synthesis, qualitative research synthesis and grounded theory, amongst others [ 5, 8, 11, 12].
This work would be an example for next meta-analysis works aiming at identifying specific common molecular features linked with biotic stress responses in other specialty crops.
