"everything adds up" is a correct and usable phrase in written English.
It can be used when you are trying to emphasize that the different parts of something have added up to a certain result or outcome. For example, you can say "After analyzing all the data, everything adds up to a clear conclusion: we need to invest more in our marketing efforts."
