An earlier phase I study carried out on 10 patients with metastatic colorectal cancer using KAb201 with I131 found the study drug to be well tolerated, with no drug related adverse events, good localisation at the tumour site and no antigen response in 9 patients [ 24].

These data types, however, by definition do not take regulatory events at the posttranscriptional level into account, although these events can influence protein abundances and localisation.

All of these events (expression of TGFβ and nuclear localisation of SLUG and β-catenin) are characteristic for EMT and were visible in human tissue samples featuring a CD-associated fibrosis.
