As a minister, Funeriu passed deep reforms in the national education and research system, aimed at bringing university governance, academic hiring, funding mechanisms, and evaluation in line with other European countries.
Finally, we also enrolled patients with suspected IC for safety evaluation, in line with the study major aim.
The STAND programme is subject to piloting and process evaluation in line with the MRC framework for complex interventions.
