Those sites are being evaluated, said Pat McGovern, a Postal Service spokeswoman.
"All policy options, including sanctions, are on the table, in our view, but obviously that still is being evaluated," said the US state department spokeswoman, Jen Psaki.
The future of the Austin, Tex., office of the technology agency, now the sole stand-alone operation, is being evaluated, said Wally Petersen, a spokesman for Bcom3.
Texas is not alone in debating how teachers should be evaluated, said Sandi Jacobs, the managing director for state policy at the National Council on Teacher Quality.
The situation is made worse for immigrants when banks send loan applications to distant offices to be evaluated, said Paul Quintero, CEO of ACCION USA, a New York-based microlender.
"Anything that consumes energy, natural gas or water is going to get evaluated," said Larry Wash, Trane's president of global services.
"Since this is a cancer-register-based study, we don't have actual exposure information on the subjects we evaluated," said Dr. Margaret A. Tucker, the study's lead author and director of the institute's human genetics program.
"Just because a pesticide has a registration number with the E.P.A. doesn't mean it's been fully evaluated," said Jay Feldman, executive director of National Coalition Against the Misuse of Pesticides, a Washington environmental group.
Four passengers were taken to the Hospital of St. Raphael in New Haven, where two men and one woman were treated and released; a 60-year-old woman was still being evaluated, said Linda Rish, a hospital spokeswoman.
"This is a medical issue that should be evaluated," says LaRocca. "It can get complicated to determine which parts of the voiding apparatus are being affected and how best to treat [the problem]".
