The word 'euphemistic' is correct and usable in written English
You can use it to describe a word, phrase, action, or attitude that is meant to be less direct, less harsh, and often less offensive than the literal meaning, such as referring to death as "passing on" instead of "dying." For example, "The politician's comment was rather euphemistic; he didn't directly address the issue at hand."
