Studies in western countries elucidate that the use of coercive measurement of mental health care is quite different in terms of magnitude, ethical acceptability, effectiveness and duration of management among countries (Steinert et al. 2010; Mayoral and Torres 2005; Sailas and Wahlbeck 2005) and quality of psychiatric service also affected by the use of coercive management (Kallert et al. 2005).
