CART analysis has been used for the estimation of the cut-off points of AREG and EREG mRNA expression, in order to classify cases into groups of a dependent (TTP and mOS) variable.
As a consequence, the economic evaluation of IPTp-SP should also include the estimation of the cut-off levels of the intervention costs beyond which the strategy ceases to be cost-effective under different epidemiological conditions, levels of efficacy and factors that may limit effectiveness.
The estimation of the cut-off values was performed with a non-parametric method.
