If Cisco Systems csco misses Wall Street estimates for its fiscal first quarter, it will be the first earnings disappointment for the No. 1 maker of networking equipment.
G.E. said Friday that it would meet estimates for its profits this year and in 2002.
It gave three estimates for its size -- 20 by 16 by 6 inches, 20 by 10 by 6 inches, and 20 by 10 by 2 inches.

The Stride Rite Corporation, which makes Stride Rite, Keds and Sperry shoes, said it would report profits below estimates for its most recent quarter, in part because of lower sales at department stores.
Procter & Gamble, maker of Tide detergent and Crest toothpaste, said yesterday that it expected to meet profit estimates for its fiscal first and second quarters, sending its shares up 8.3percentt.
He pointed out that despite the assertion by Clorox, a consumer products company, that shareholders would benefit from its current strategy, it had twice lowered performance estimates for its current fiscal year.
