The performance of the final model was also evaluated in deriving risk groups from the prognostic index (PI) (sum of weighted regression coefficients estimated from derivation set).
On the basis of these data, volumetric variables, including EVLW, may be estimated; their derivation has been described in detail previously [ 1, 14- 16].
Inter-rater reliability will be estimated through derivation of Inter-rater Correlation Coefficients (ICC and PCAA will be used to ensure that any redundant items are removed and included items are grouped sensibly into domains, before overall quality scores will be derived.
To calculate the predicted number of strokes in the validation cohort, 33 the proportionate risk estimate from the derivation cohort was applied according to each separate stratum of risk: low (stroke risk =1.35%), intermediate (6.51%), and high (11.30%) (column 5, Table 1).
The use of local distance estimates allows the derivation of simple and distributed estimators of the target's position.

There are two principal approaches in dealing with this demand: estimating the expected derivation from the prediction (e.g. gaussian processes) or classifying each compound whether the model is specified for it or not.
Specifically, we used the coefficients estimated from the derivation model to predict the log-odds of mortality in the validation cohorts.
If there is overfitting, we would expect the slopes to be different from 1 and the intercepts to be different from 0. We repeated this process for each validation dataset, each time calculating a risk score using the regression estimates from our derivation model.
