In the literature different types of error correcting schemes for the watermarking problem are proposed.
Four families of error correcting schemes are used in our study to enhance the robustness of the watermark repetition codes, Hamming codes, BCH codes and Reed-Solomon codes.
The second contribution concerns the investigation of the performance capabilities of different error correcting schemes employed for a digital color image watermarking application based on the discrete wavelet transform.
Secondly, we develop a multi-layered simulator combining a realistic IEEE 802.11p PHY layer, a random MAC under unsaturated conditions, as well as raptor codes and repetition codes forward error correcting schemes for V2V safety broadcasting applications.
This section deals with the investigation of the performance capabilities of different error correcting schemes employed for a digital color image watermarking application based on the discrete wavelet transform.
The low pass filtering does not effect the watermark as the watermark is inserted in middle frequencies and all error correcting schemes encounter minimal errors even for the large filter size of 9×9, which significantly degrades the quality of an image.

With this study, we propose to describe the errors introduced by different attacks and thus to illustrate the connection of a particular attack with a particular error correcting scheme in the context of our color wavelet algorithm.
For this, we have analyzed the errors introduced by different attacks and highlighted the connection of a particular attack with a particular error correcting scheme in the context of our color wavelet algorithm.
The aim of this numerical approach is to analyse the multi-layered and real-time properties of the coding schemes described in Section "Forward error correcting coding schemes for safety data dissemination".
Section "Forward error correcting coding schemes for safety data dissemination" briefly describes the design of a repetition code and systematic raptor code for safety broadcast and Section "Safety broadcast system model" explains the building blocks of the system model.
To correct these errors we use different error correction schemes.
