Serotype 2 strainsains recovered from both clinical pig and human cases have for the most part been genotyped/phenotyped as sly+ mrp+ epf+/SLY+MRP+EF+, regardless of the geographic origin (whether it be mainland China, Japan, North America or Spain for both diseased pigs and human cases), which is identical to the serotype 2 strainsaisolatedated from diseased pigs and humans in mainland China.
The higher carrier rate of virulent genotype of mrp+/ epf+/ sly+ in S. suis type 2 from diseased pigs compared to healthy sows showed that these three genes together may contribute to differentiating the virulence of serotype 2, which is in accordance with results of other epidemiological reports [ 9, 17].
The VAG profile of epf+/sly+/mrp+, which was dominant in the ST1 strains, was also significantly associated with the meningitis category (p<0.0001).
The VAG profile of epf–/sly+/mrp–, which was observed only in the ST104 strains, was also significantly associated with the nonmeningitis category (p<0.0001).
Malavazos et al. [ 22] documented that echocardiographic measurement accurately estimates the actual amount of EpF, which could be a strong and independent predictor of myocardial fat (represented by triglycerides stored within the cardiac muscle tissue).
First, features are classified as explicit features (EPFs) and implicit features (IPFs), which are then identified in an order of priority using heuristic hints.
Technical failure occurred in only 2.8% (4/140), all of which were in the EPF group (Table 3).

DFT calculations were conducted with the Gaussian 09 Rev. D suite of programs38,39, which was performed on Fidis computer cluster of EPF Lausanne.
This study also showed that EPF can exhibit a beneficial effect on preventing bone loss in passive smoking rats, which was shown by maintained BMD and BMC at the femur neck and lumbar vertebrae in the EPF treatment group compared with significantly decreased BMD and BMC in the passive smoking group.
