The resolution, calling for "conservative environment stewardship" was endorsed by representatives Ileana Ros-Lehtinen and Carlos Curbelo of Florida, Robert Dold of Illinois, Dave Reichert of Washington, Pat Meehan, Ryan Costello, and Mike Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania, and Richard Hanna and Elise Stefanik of New York, according to the National Journal.
The Aldo Leopold Award, established in 2009 on the centennial of Leopold's graduation from F&ES, recognizes individuals whose exceptional contributions to the protection of the environment, stewardship of "the land" as Leopold envisioned it, or in scholarship or writing in environmental ethics, ecology or a related field serve as a model to others and an inspiration to future generations.
These include environmental management, design for environment, product stewardship, green purchasing, reverse logistics, recycling, reuse, and remanufacturing.
Data on general and mental health social and policy environment, health stewardship, mental health burden and stakeholder needs, and the human and financial resources both available and required were examined as part of the comprehensive country level profile.
The impetus behind the course, says Rittschof, "is the idea that any educated person should have at least minimal understanding of environments and stewardship issues". His eclectic research interests include antifoulants; he has several patents for the substances, which keep sea creatures from attaching to ship hulls and are environmentally benign.
But for most people anxious about the fate of the environment, service and stewardship would seem to go together.
Princeton University is committed to providing a safe and healthful environment, practicing good stewardship of the University's environmental resources.
"Climate change is not identified as a national security threat but climate and the importance of the environment and environmental stewardship are discussed," a senior administration official said.
"But more still needs to be done and we believe that for there to be a continual supply of effective antibiotics, a comprehensive review of the R&D [research and development] environment and good stewardship are required urgently".
Awarded only one time previously in the history of Yale, the Aldo Leopold Award 'recognizes an individual whose exceptional contributions in the protection of the environment, in the stewardship of 'the land' as Leopold envisioned it, or in scholarship or writing in environmental ethics, ecology or a related field serve as a model to others as well as inspiration for future generations'.
These RMSs have the goals of reducing water demand, increasing water supply, and improving water quality, environment and resource stewardship, and flood management.
