Assignment ensembles for functional NMR studies : peaks with low SAR values can be exploited for the localization of dynamical zones or the localization of interaction interfaces, as shown with the assignment ensemble obtained on EIN (Fig. 5).
To investigate the influence of fold-specific structural heterogeneity, we compared the results obtained with this X-ray β-sheet ensemble to those obtained for ensembles representing the structural heterogeneity of six different folds.
This procedure was performed twice, and thus 20 groups of training and validation subsets were obtained for ensemble analyses.
In Fig. 3C we show the density estimates obtained for ensembles A C from the two dimensional projections in Fig. 3B.
We call this bootstrap ensemble BE 2. Figure 3 shows the distribution of these F-scores for scale-free networks in dependence of four different sample sizes.In general, one can see that the distributions of F-scores of the two bootstrap ensembles are similar in range, median and the interquartiles to the F-scores obtained for the ensemble of independently generated data sets.
The average correlation map for each of these ensembles considered was remarkably similar to that obtained for the non-homologous ensemble, but significant variations between motifs within the folds were observed (Supplementary Fig. 2).
That means the blue boxplots correspond to F-scores obtained for an ensemble of 300 independently generated data sets.
Evidently, any avalanche size distribution obtained for neuronal ensembles recorded with MEAs corresponds to a severe undersampling of the total population of neurons in a given brain.
Figure 1A shows the color distribution obtained for three ensembles of conformations for the bovine cytochrome B5 protein.
The ergodicity principle states that the average over periods of time along a given trajectory of an observable is, at the limit, identical to the ensemble average of this observable as obtained, for instance, from Monte Carlo simulations: (39) O − ≈ O.
