Anchored in previous research, we offer an enriched classification of barriers and facilitators to adherence to therapy, issued from the concordance between both concepts, that may enable the identification of population-specific solutions to improve adherence that could be formally evaluated subsequently.
For each enriched classification (and the corresponding subset of disease genes), we replicated our cluster-based phylostratigraphic analysis to compare the evolutionary distribution of the annotated genes to the distribution produced using all human disease genes from OMIM (see Figure 1).

For DEG enriched GO classification in the R1 comparison, 20 GO classes fell into the categories "biological process", 20 into "cellular component" and 20 into "molecular function" (Fig. 7).
