A public health clinician used an electronic search and e-mail enquiry strategy to obtain the CPGs for each SADC country: Angola, Botswana, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Lesotho, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Seychelles, South Africa, Swaziland, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
When these resumed in January 2002, it rapidly became clear that bTB incidence in cattle had risen sharply, renewed enquiries in Parliament and increased pressure from farming and veterinary groups for new policy action, rather than continuing with the ISG's research strategy (EFRAC 2003/2004, p. 6).

The second search strategy involved an enquiry about the research activities of research centers, institutes affiliated with Canadian universities or hospitals and researchers at Canadian universities, primarily in departments of obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, psychology, and epidemiology/community health.
This was a cohort study nested within a cluster randomised trial investigating two strategies (household enquiry vs. self-referral to a mobile community clinic) of community-based intensified case finding for TB in an urban community with a high prevalence of TB and HIV infection (DETECTB) [10].
