On the gadolinium-enhanced GRE images, pancreatic carcinomas enhance less than the surrounding parenchyma (Fig. 3) [ 15– 15].
In normal premenopausal women, the ovarian parenchyma enhances less than the myometrium on delayed contrast-enhanced scan.
On T1-weighted post-contrast images, the tumour typically enhances less than normal myometrium, and on dynamic contrast enhancement enhances more slowly than myometrium.
The liver parenchyma of three (12%) patients showed heterogenous enhancement on HP and BP, with the liver parenchyma around the tumor enhancing less than that farther away from the tumor.
Papillary renal cell carcinoma has also been shown to enhance less than clear cell renal cell carcinoma.
Hypo-, iso- and hyperechoic subcortical masses have been described at US. On CT they appear as multiple round masses which enhance less than normal renal tissue.
In these cases contrast-enhanced scans, even with subtraction of native images, are helpful (Fig. 3) because the tumor enhances less than the normal myometrium, and the invasive hypointense tumor extends into the myometrium, causing irregularity and disruption of the enhancing JZ at the endometrial myometrial interface (Fig. 4).
In addition, the liver parenchyma around the tumor of some patients (12%, 3/25) enhanced less intensely than that farther away from the tumor on HP and BP.
Sometimes, interestingly, the aim of truth is enhanced less by adversarial argument than by a receptivity that holds back on disagreement long enough to try out the new ideas on offer, push them further, see where they might go.
In addition, the widespread belief that turbulence enhances less volatile fuels more than their high volatility counterparts also depends on the ambient pressure and initial droplet size.
