What I do is I meet with the marketing guys, I meet with engineering guys.
The engineering guys will lay out what we call a package, where all the critical components are for the vehicle.
That's where I started studying cars, how engines work and how they work and helped me become this kind of geeky, engineering type of guy".
So the engineer looks at engineering costs, the sales guy at sales costs, etc.
"We're just reverse engineering the bad guys, putting their attacks into a framework that penetration testers can use professionally," Valsmith says.
I taught myself engineering and was the guy who did whatever job no one else wanted to do, like cleaning piss off the toilet seat.
"These guys are engineering driven — they know how to build fast, build cheaply and do a good job," said John Scales, the lead transport specialist in the Beijing office of the World Bank.
