Temporal system boundaries can extent from the production of the raw material, the product processing and product life-cycle, the duration of carbon storage in the product, recycling of the product, the availability of residue biofuels, and the fate of the wood product at the end of the product's lifetime (e.g., energetic use, decay, or disposal).
