By use of a full factorial design method, some different wavelength regions were selected by taking into account different spectral parameters including the starting wavelength, the ending wavelength and the wavelength interval.
Dow and Vautin (1987) in single cell recording from primate V1 compared color properties of columns of single cells with non-oriented and oriented receptive fields, revealing that cortical middle layer cells in non-oriented type penetrations showed poor responses to white light, and color preferences for end-spectral wavelengths, i.e., red or blue.
