Young boys are expected to sit, concentrate and memorize for hours on end — skills that girls seem to be better at earlier in life.
"They've got a lot of top-end skill guys up front, similar to Ottawa," Ryan McDonagh said of the Capitals, who eliminated the defending champion Bruins in overtime in Game 7, with the rookie goalie Braden Holtby leading the way.
But all hope is not lost here: Jack Eichel, Johnny Gaudreau, Auston Matthews and Dylan Larkin all represent the kind of high-end skill that Team USA desperately needed throughout their first two games.
"People see the high-end skill set he possesses, the world-class talent, the vision, the work ethic and never giving up on a puck, the professionalism," Garth Snow, the Islanders' general manager, said on Commissioner Gary Bettman's radio show Thursday.

External assessors are more able to provide a critical challenge if they have "high-end skills", including technical and agile delivery experience.
"The difference between going to Swarthmore and Penn State is greater today than it was in 1976 because there are higher returns to all upper-end skills and connections," he said.
