The supplement was administered by cutting the tapered end of the capsule with scissors and squeezing the complete contents of the capsule directly into the neonate's mouth.
Each egg is enclosed in a purse-shaped capsule roughly 6-8 cm long and 2 cm wide, with two constricted "waists"; one end of the capsule is squared off while the other bears two short "horns" that may terminate in short tendrils.
Blood flows into and away from the glomerulus through tiny arteries called arterioles, which reach and leave the glomerulus through the open end of the capsule.

The orientation anisotropy of the capsule nanorod is the strongest, and the anisotropy factor reaches up to three orders of magnitude when the emitter is placed 10 nm to the end of the capsule nanorod.
The orientation distributions at distance g = 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 nm to the end of the capsule nanorod at wavelength 946 nm is shown in Figure 4a,b,c,d,e, respectively.
Run products at 4.2 GPa, 900 °C, are characterized by a segregated fraction at the hot end of the capsule, close to the thermocouple, delimited by a meniscus (Fig. 6g, i).
