When the patients indicated that a drop had occurred, we checked whether the recording system still functioned properly by scanning the uploaded EM data visually for extra recordings or for altered registration patterns (e.g. no further registered openings).
A low resolution EM map was used for comparison with the EM data available for Mediator (see below).
