There tend to be low activity periods in clinical radiology; for instance, in the mornings before patients seen in outpatient clinics appear in the radiology department, or in summer when elective hospitalisations may be slower.
Furthermore, they were operated in emergencies in most of the cases (52.4%), whereas LC was performed in elective hospitalisations much more frequently (73.9%).
