First, Figure 4 would be bolstered by an elaboration of the analysis shown in panel D. The reverse-correlation analysis compares the data and the model (the latter, relying on an effect on the time-constant of accumulation).
We recommend that the principal features of the planned statistical analysis of the data be described in the statistical section of the protocol and in a detailed elaboration of the analysis often called the Statistical Analysis Plan (SAP).
