Residents deemed by facility staff to be medically unstable (eg, experiencing delirium) or estimated by facility staff to have less than 3 months to live will be excluded from participation.
Participants were not explicitly asked how their beliefs were formed (eg, experiences among family and friends, media, professional roles), but this would be important to address in future work.
Specific to the UK, the community neonatal service was valued positively in providing support and continuity of care for parents who needed a high level of support (eg, experiencing depression and bonding struggles with their infant, infant-sleeping issues and feeding problems).
