The factors which determine the output, getting from a wind energy converter includes; wind speed, cross section of the windswept by the rotor, overall conversion efficiency of the rotor, transmission system and generator or pump.
It is found that the efficiency of outer rotor permanent magnet synchronous generator is improved by 2.19% and regulation by 2.83% as compared to inner rotor permanent magnet synchronous generator.
The theoretical power output and the efficiency of the rotor were also obtained.
