This study was designed to improve the efficacy of radiation therapy against radiation-resistant leukemia.
In our study, we showed that using S44563 during fractionated irradiation increases the efficacy of radiation and that this effect was greater when S44563 was given after the completion of the radiation in SCLC.
However, their potential to increase the therapeutic efficacy of radiation therapy and/or to reduce radiation-mediated side effects remains largely unknown.
