Findings regarding the effect of LEs on HRQoL have almost always been presented from clinical samples [ 16, 45, 46], and the present work is one of the few to study the association in a general population sample.

Most studies on the effect of LEs have been carried out in convenience samples which cannot be considered representative of the general population[ 14- 16], limiting their ability to make inferences based on the available observations.
No effect of LE-CLA was observed on any estrous cycle characteristics or measures of reproductive performance.

We have updated our previous systematic review by evaluating the effects of FO-containing LEs on relevant clinical outcomes in ten eligible RCTs [ 15- 18, 61- 66] involving critically ill patients.
Therapeutic exercises Numerous RCTs have evaluated the effects of exercise on LE.
Nonetheless, a statistically significant effect of FO-containing LEs on the reduction of infections was shown in the higher-quality trials [ 62, 63, 65] (RR = 0.64; 95% CI, 0.42 to 0.97; P = 0.04; heterogeneity I = 0%), whereas trials with lower methods scores did not show any significant effect (RR = 0.65; 95% CI, 0.31 to 1.35; P = 0.25; heterogeneity I = 0%).
Unfortunately, with the exception of two trials [ 63, 65], most trials included in this systematic review were relatively small studies with fewer than 100 patients and therefore were inadequate to detect a clinically important treatment effect of FO-containing LEs on mortality.
The multiple regression analysis including ACE, LE and measures of emotion processing indicated additive effects of negative LE (βLEQ- = 0.37, p < 0.01), emotional ACE (βETI = 0.21, p < 0.05) and alexithymia (βTAS-26 = 0.28, p < 0.05) on FNS severity, with no additional variance explained by a suppressive emotion regulation style (ERQS; adjusted R 2 = 0.4; p < 0.01).
