The Department is also charged with the responsibility of coordinating disaster preparedness efforts and activities in order to minimize the adverse effects of hazards, through effective precautionary measures and to ensure timely, appropriate and efficient organization and delivery of emergency response.
Apart from these, safety procedures follow standard procedures to mitigate the effects of hazards.
