It initiates what [Hacking] has termed a "looping effect" – an ongoing process of feedback between language, practice, category and person' (Hayward, 2011: 525; Hacking, 2002).
The effects of feedback, the importance of specific aspects of feedback, and the mechanisms underlying the effects of feedback are unknown.
