Tables 1 and 2 show the effect of increasing M and K on accuracy.
The data for k = 1 to k = 3 (Fig. 14) give evidence that the edge effect is reduced by increasing k.
Similarly, if N is fixed, then the effect of adding edges and thus increasing k on the path length L is larger for a lattice than for a random network (Figure 3B).

A very similar effect can be observed by changing the value of k as well: increasing k makes the communities smaller and more disintegrated but, at the same time, also more cohesive.
