It is the unique microstructure after activation processing and electroactive nitrogen functionalities that enable the carbon obtained through a simple, ecological, and economical process to be utilized as a potential electrode material for electrical double-layer capacitors.
Neutral landscapes can be used in models of ecological processes to allow for the assessment of the contribution of habitat matrix structure on the outcome of the ecological process being modelled.
Additionally, it appears that regional processes determine community assembly for most subsets of the data, whereas random assembly, followed by local environmental and ecological processes, appears to be more important for polychaetes [64].
Most theories suggest it is produced by chemical reactions that act over thousands of years or by ecological processes yet to be determined.
Ecological processes are increasingly being viewed as a vital mode of diversification in the marine environment, with evidence of ecological partitioning being reported for many marine taxa [ 4, 7- 9, 20, 27- 30].
It is quite likely that the net effect of these ecological processes will be to accelerate further accretion, leading to an eventual replacement of the S. mariqueter-dominated community in the long-term.
Unfortunately, most trauma-related observational studies and interventions referring to ecological processes are limited to treatment and measurement only at the individual level [ 55].
The two major factors that influence selection of strategies for managing complex systems are the degree (and type) of uncertainty and the extent to which key ecological processes can be controlled (Fig. 1).
Further, significant developments may be undetectable also on relatively longer time-scales whenindicator values are influenced by ecological processes, which are slow to respond to changes in corresponding pressures (i.e., eutrophication, Figure 5).
