MDPs are curves showing the senescence characteristics of each genotype and are constructed after estimating yeast culture cell densities for repeat cultures of different genotypes at each passage from photographs using the image analysis tool Colonyzer (Lawless et al. 2010).
To evaluate their proliferating ability, SDS-MSCs were subcultured when they reached 70 80% of confluence and population doubling time was calculated at each passage from P2 to P5 . Proliferationrate was comparable at each time point considered (Student's t-test >0.05) between SDS- and HD-MSCs.
When you're citing two or more paragraphs, you'll have to use block quotes, even if each passage from the paragraphs is less than four lines long.

Data are based on a mean of 240 colonies scored on each subject's cells cultured for each passage; cells from five individuals were evaluated.
Two reading passages consisting of 10 questions (five for each passage) were selected from the past official CET4 administered in December , 2012
Doubling times within each passage were calculated from the trend line of the exponential growth phase using the equation: where k is the growth constant and T is the doubling time.
Using cell counts and DNA assays, doubling times were calculated from growth curves established from each passage at three different tonicities (280 mOsm, 380 mOsm and 480 mOsm).
Protein extracts and RNA was isolated from the initial tumor growth, as well as from each passage of these cells.
Averages for correct performance on the final cued-recall test, calculated on the basis of 20 items (10 from each passage), were 4.92 (SD = 2.81) items (24.5 %) for participants in the study-only group; 7.02 items (SD = 2.59) (35.1 %) for those in the standard-multiple choice group; and 8.4 (SD = 2.5) items (42 %) and for those in the confidence-weighted multiple-choice condition (Fig. 3).
