Moreover, we have demonstrated that Hakai, a post-translational regulator of E-cadherin stability, was significantly reduced in a VFL-dependent manner in 5637 suggesting that the proteasome pathway is at least partially involved in its diminution; however, other post-translational mechanisms are waiting to be investigated.
