A dynamic scan of the hepatic region, lasting 25 min (6 × 60 s, 3 × 180 s, and 2 × 300 s), was done to assess the radioactivity concentration as a function of time of the liver hotspots on the axial field of view.
It consisted of several acquisition steps: (i) an early dynamic scan of the pelvis, (ii) an early static scan of the pelvis, (iii) an early whole-body scan, (iv) delayed static scan of the pelvis, and (v) delayed whole-body scan.
In all slices of the dynamic scans of the two defined lung regions, the entire lung was chosen as the region of interest (ROI) by drawing the external boundaries of the lungs inside the ribs and the internal boundaries along the mediastinal organs.
At an average of 90 min, after the start of the study, [F]FDG (mean 189 MBq, 147 218 MBq) was injected over 15 s and a dynamic scan of the upper abdominal region was started at 80 min (frames 5 × 180 s) followed by a similar scan of the lower abdominal region at 100 min and the femoral region at 130 min (3 × 300 s) (Fig. 1a).
To achieve high performance and reliability in video streaming over wireless local area networks (WLANs), one must jointly consider both optimized association to access points (APs) and handover management based on dynamic scanning of alternate APs.
Thus, the acquisition of dynamic scans for the evaluation of contrast enhancement over time within the tumour or tumour motion prior to radiotherapy generates a high number of images.
In the case of using a PET camera without list mode to acquire phantom data as the four PET drugs in Table 1, the Hoffman phantom data were acquired with a dynamic scan of four frames (135, 120, 455, and 1090 s).
The acquisition time for a single scan was 104 s; a dynamic scan of 24 images was acquired with 30-s time intervals between each image (total acquisition time 53 min).
Dynamic scans of 3 min with 35 2 s frames, 6 5 s frames, and 8 10 s frames were acquired after injection of 50 mCi [O] water in saline or inhalation of 60 mCi of [O] oxygen in room air, respectively, for CBF and CMRO2 measurements [ 12, 13].
If the dynamic scan time of the clinical scan is roughly a factor of 6 longer than the research scan (91 s vs 16 s), then a factor of 6 acceleration from the CS technique would be sufficient to create a protocol that would work for all patients and allow research data to be collected simultaneously.
