Our validation sample was relatively young in age, predominantly Caucasian, and urban-dwelling (Table 1).
They were also more likely to be living outside of major metropolitan areas or in "traditional" dwellings (Table 6).
When building type was known, 43.3%, 70.3% and 74.2% of them in MA, OH, and MS, respectively, were single-family dwellings (Table 3).
Sources indicated that Indigenous peoples in Alberta were more likely to live in dwellings with inappropriate housing conditions and private spaces and to have a limited affordability for dwellings (Table 1).
As with models 1 and 2, the association of this variable with the incidence of skin infections in children was modified by the age of the dwelling, and the association with missing cleaning equipment was stronger for children living in newer, rather than older dwellings (Table 5).
Similarly, annual incidence of PTEs was similar or lower among institution-dwelling OSC for all trauma types except being forced to leave home (Table 3).
People who were frailer tended to be older, less educated, more often female and rural dwelling people (Table 1).
The most commonly experienced category of trauma was witnessing a family death, reported by 72.5%9595% CI = 67.6, 76.9) of institution-dwelling and 71.8% (95% CI = 68.5, 74.9) of family-dwelling OSC (Table 2).
Each of the six dwellings in Table 5 averaged an E reading ranging from 1.01 ± 0.10 to 8.65 ± 0.50 mSv a−1.
In addition, LTC residents were significantly more likely to perceive their general health, quality of life and mouth health as fair or poor but have less oral pain than their community-dwelling counterparts (Table 2).
