The Northeast monsoon during the month of October, November and December chiefly contributes rainfall to the study area.
Sampling were conducted monthly during the catching season (September, October, November, December, January, February, March, and April).
Monthly parasitic index remains highest during July (20.3) and least during the month of January (1.9), whereas SPR was highest during June-July and lowest during the months of March and April.
