Hardly new, the chair, which features a curvy iron-rod base and a light as air, yet durable, woven bamboo seat and backrest, was a collaboration between Noguchi and famed Japanese interior designer Isamu Kenmochi back in 1950 when the two were working together at the Industrial Arts Research Institute in Tokyo.
