In regions of duplications, depth-of-coverage shows a statistically significant increase due to recruitment of paralogous reads.
In addition, we included the SF-36 [ 35] in the selected instruments as it was to be an outcome measure in the proposed screening trial and including it allowed us to use these systematic methods to avoid duplication of content coverage between the SF-36 and items from other instruments.
It is important at this stage to identify, confirm and correct duplication of data, determine the coverage and completeness of data, and conduct plausibility reviews of the data, including triangulation and independent verification (Tripartite Core Group 2008).
In addition, we performed independent analyses based on depth of coverage to detect duplications and deletions not identified by Delly.

The major limitation of depth of coverage methods arises in duplicated genomic regions, such as segmental duplications or smaller regions of homology between genomic regions.
We need stronger supervisory and regulatory systems under which gaps and unnecessary duplication in coverage are eliminated, lines of supervisory authority and responsibility are clarified, and oversight powers are adequate to curb excessive leverage and risk-taking.
To throw more light on the duplication issue might need longer reads and/or much greater depth of coverage.
