We don't get all the revenue from third-party payers, we do overpayments and duplicate payments to providers.
"Affected members will receive an email with more details and should receive a credit for the duplicate payment in three to five days," said Stephanie Grodin, Director of Payments Product at Etsy.
"Because it generated a duplicate payment in our system, we caught it," she said.
The required notification and submission of documentation must be provided by the veteran or claimant to the VA medical facility of jurisdiction within three working days of receipt of notice of the duplicate payment.
Mr. McLenachen, however, acknowledged that it would be hard to determine the precise number of duplicate payments without beneficiaries coming forward voluntarily.
The department's Office of Inspector General has begun looking into it, a spokeswoman said, and a congressman from the Philadelphia area says he will ask that the department provide an accounting of duplicate payments by Oct. 31.
It identified irregular payments of £19,188.85 which included duplicated payments to a supplier.
It was a duplicate payment, and Ms. Ruell corrected it.
The result, she said, was a duplicate payment.
(c) The term duplicate payment means payment made, in whole or in part, for the same emergency services for which VA reimbursed or made payment.
U.S. federal laws that also affect substitute checks include Federal Reserve regulations that provide for recrediting the amount of the substitute check in the case of fraud and duplicate payments caused by settlement of both the substitute check and the original check used for creating the substitute check.
